The number of bankruptcies in September (1,151 cases) increased 2.2% from last month (1,126 cases), and also decreased 16.8% compared to the same month last year (1,384 cases.) It is the 21st highest number of bankruptcies during the month of July after World War II. Total liabilities in July ($5,044.47 million) increased 63.7% from last month ($3,081.26 million) and decreased 13.6% compared to the corresponding month last year ($5,840.08 million). The record shows that the month of July makes the 10th highest in its amount of liabilities after the World War II.
